Which watch are you?

If you are like me, I am a different "watch" almost every day. I switch often and when I get sick of one I trade or sell it to get another. I have only mourned one watch that I traded away...A 1967 Rolex Air King...I miss "Her" very, very much.

Van Cleef & Arpels - Alhambra
A real "Lady" watch. I am still a "Girl" but as soon as I cross that line...VCA here I come.

Cartier - Ballon Bleu
At first I was not a fan but I must say it looks amazing on everyone.
With loads of gold bangles...Divine!

Franck Muller - Casablanca
Unique, sexy and substantial in platinum.

Timex - Ironman
The best and most fashionable workout watch. Keeps perfect time all of the time.

Rolex - Datejust
I am currently scheming and searching for the perfect one.
Sophisticated with "Old school" style.

Cartier - Tank
The first watch I ever coveted. My aunt had one that she accidentally threw in the garbage can. I mourned the loss more then she did!

Rolex - Air King (I think)
J. Crew put it in it's specialty shop. For obvious reasons it sold out almost immediately!

Bulgari - Tubogas
A bit garish and over the top? FOR SURE.
I want it and I want it yesterday!

Rolex - Submariner
My favorite everyday. Ocean. Snow. Wherever. Whenever!

Hermes - Medor
Perfection. They don't make the gold anymore...So I am extra careful with it. Most people complement me on my "Bracelet" I love to surprise them with the watch inside.

Sadly, no matter how much the watch costs or how beautiful it is...Time goes by too quickly.

Starfish and palm trees oh my...

STARFISH
Did you know that starfish have eyes? While they can't see as well as we do, they have one eye at the end of each arm. I have a funny feeling that some can see better then I do at the end of the day when I can barely read my book...

They make me happy!

In nature...

On paper...
iomoi stationary, labels, napkins etc. so cute and clean - www.iomoi.com

On my desk...
baccarat paper weight

On my back...
Seaton boyfriend cardigan in charcoal

Under my drink...
linen cocktail napkins - www.isolabelleshop.com

PALM TREES
Did you know that the juice from coconuts is used intravenously as a hydration fluid in some developing countries where medical saline is unavailable?

I like to decorate my table with them...
Muslin napkins from Esty - www.etsy.com

And to remind me that the food is California fresh...
In-n-Out

To keep me warm...
Seaton boyfriend cardigan in turquoise

To help me stay healthy and hydrated...in an OVER developed country

But mostly to remind me that there is no place like the beach...

Well, well wellies....

The only thing good about the rain is "Wellies"...
And of course snuggling with hot chocolate by the fire next to Hugh Grant (circa Notting Hill), talking about each others day, discussing the most recent article in the Guardian and making plans for our next trip to Ibiza...Wait what was my point? Oh yeah!

I LOVE WELLIES!

Any color will do, but I prefer navy. Subtle. Clean. Utilitarian.

Kate...rocks them with a supermodel mini. Angelina...well Angie does what Angie does best in them. Julia...wears them (that's about it). Tara Reid...no comment!

Crazy great! Crocodile print Jimmy Choo's. Crazy great!

The perineal casual favorite.

With a solar powered iPod connection! Just what you need when out in the rain, hanging out at Glastonbury or mucking about with pigs!

Mary Kate or Ashley (who can really tell) Olsen straight up perfect.

So sweet! The definition of charming.

Blake (can do no wrong) Lively wearing her wellies city-side.

Wellies the way wellies were meant to be "well" used.

High Heeled? Not for me but they kinda work.

The Australians call them "Gummies", in New Zealand they are "Gumboots" and in Ireland they are "Topboots". Others have referred to them as "Muckboots" or "Barnboots". As a kid I called them galoshes and as an adult I call them my rainy day must haves.

What makes me happy on a rainy day...

Seeing the beach through the eyes of Slim Aarons!

"Beach at St. Tropez"

"Mustique"

"Surfing Brothers"
Freddie and Howard Cushing surfing with friends at Bailey's Beach (the Spouting Rock Beach Association) in Newport. Their father introduced the sport to the club in the 1930's

"Finding a Spot"
A sunbather on the coast near Jacques Couelle's home 'Monte Mano', on the Costa Smeralda, Sardinia, August 1973.
