That girl...

Everyone has been asking...who was that girl in the leopard dress? Who made that dress? Where was she really!? Well...

She is Aurora Sansones. Her day job is fashion editor and stylist for Vogue Nippon. She is the protege of our favorite, Anna Della Russo. She is an Italian super stylish girl about town who is known for mixing boyish silhouettes with feminine accents. I can't find her age anywhere which just makes her even more fantastic!

She is my nominee for the Seaton in Japan girl :)

After leaving Celine
I love, love, love the leopard pumps with navy sweater dress and red bag. I will definitely be copying this look (after I buy leopard pumps, a navy sweater dress and red bag)

This is the front shot of our favorite photo
(how come when I try to pull of this look I just look homeless?)

So simple. So stylish. So nostalgic. So comfortable.

A simple, "Lets go to J.Crew and do our best to copy this fantastic look" outfit.

Perfection...

By the way, I thought I was the only one stalking her but it seems like Scott and Garance really are stalking her! Phew, that will take the heat off me if the case goes to court!

Yikes...I never found out who made the dress...If you know, please tell me.

Ahhhh...

Everything about this picture makes me happy. I love her dress. I love the slightness off her shoes. I love her hair that looks undone and effortless. The Celine bag is perfect. Her bulky men's cut sweater provides just the right juxtaposition.

Where is she? I think she is window shopping in Paris after just grabbing a chocolate croissant with her best girlfriend. Over a late breakfast they spoke about their plans for the weekend and how much they both loved the new exhibit at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie. Her friend complained "That Azzedine Alaia dress was sold right out from under me!". Our girl consoled her by reminding her that the "Room in the back " had sale items that were just as great. They split after kissing on each cheek which left our girl to wander the streets window shopping for that certain something that might unexpectedly catch her eye...

Or...she just left Target on Sepulveda in the valley and is now on her way across the street to Costco where on her long list is 42 rolls of toilet paper and a vat jar of ketchup.

Either way, she is definitely a Seaton in the City girl!

P.S. I love you...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Palm Springs. My fondest memories include being 16 and driving up and down, up and down and up and down the strip over spring break. So when invited for a weekend "OUT OF TOWN" I said
"YES, YES, YES"

I folded up my favorite Eres bikini plus four others for a two day trip because you never know what might happen and you DO NOT want to be caught without a fresh bikini.

Found my Seaton Pom Pom tunic...This pale pink goes with every bikini I have and always makes me look tanner then I am. LOVE IT.

Slid on my my new KJacques in Leopard
(new at Jill Roberts)

Made sure I had a full bottle of Maui Babe.
With only two days in the sun who has time for sunscreen? Oh gosh I hope my dermatologist does not read this.

Brought a stack of unread magazines.
(I love this cover. Provocative and smart. Barbara Kruger is genius)

Packed the full on 'Deluxe" turntable version of Scrabble...Who wants to be in the sun without Scrabble?

Then headed east into the dessert. After just 1 hour 25 minutes we hit...Paradise!

The OUTLET MALL!
Marni, YSL, Prada and Ralph Lauren (blue and black label) were great. Question? Why do I always trick myself into thinking that the $2500 YSL bag at Neiman Marcus will be $300 at the outlet mall? I am always disappointed but trust me I got over it very quickly...

On to dinner. There is such a great Thai restaurant on Palm Canyon. Thai Smile...yummy.
Great when you are so hungry from so much walking/shopping

Had a drink at the newly renovated Colony Palms Hotel. Martyn Lawrence-Bullard did a great job. The Moroccan flare is warm and sophisticated at the same time.

Next day was spent by the pool, laughing, playing games, pouring on "IT'S A 10" leave in conditioner (makes your hair soooo soft and smooth) and drinking while catching some much needed rays

Then to Matchbox for pizza. Prosciutto and olive's on a very thin crust. Sooo good.

Woke up for a great breakfast at Cheeky's on the way out of town. UNBELIEVABLY great. Fresh squeezed OJ, amazing steel cut oatmeal and something called "The Bacon flight". You get 5 differnt types of bacon...Smokehouse, applewood, jalapeno, maple and extra thick.
CRAZY good (we had two orders)

Then back on the 10 headed west. Palm Springs is so nostalgic for me. I think we are so lucky to have such a great vacation spot so close to home.

Oh and don't forget to stop in at Lavish Bath & Body for custom made body oils and scrubs. You get to choose your scent. I chose Vanilla/Gardenia...mmmmm good! I swear, the scrubs make your skin soft like a baby.
